Resources and Tips for Virtual Club Meetings

The urgency of the health and safety of our members and their family is our priority. The District Trio would like to address this issue that affects our members’ learning experience.

We realize that several clubs have been cancelling and re-scheduling their meetings due to closing of meeting spaces (schools, churches, libraries, retirement homes, etc). Toastmasters International provides guidance of using free conference call software to help facilitate your club meetings.  Here are some reliable sites that provide this.  Please note that District 30 does not promote any specific program, but you can check out their websites to see what fits your clubs’ needs.

Some of these programs may have a time limit for a free account.  We suggest that you schedule two “meetings”, and place a 5-10 minute break.  For more tips on how to setup your meetings, click on the free District Virtual Courses HERE

Best Practices for Virtual Toastmasters Meeting

Even though there are different platforms being used for Virtual Toastmasters Meeting, the Quality of the Club Meetings remains the same.  As a best practice, you can download this PowerPoint slide to help your Toastmaster of the Day for your meeting by clicking HERE.  This provides guidance to your members on how to interact during the meeting.
