Area Director:Â This role serves as a liaison between the District and its clubs. The Area Director supports the clubs within their assigned area, helping them achieve their goals, providing guidance to club officers, and assisting with club-level challenges. This is a vital position for building rapport and providing direct support to clubs.
Growth Opportunities: Develops skills in mentorship, conflict resolution, strategic planning, and team management. It’s a key stepping stone to further District leadership roles.
Parliamentarian:Â The Parliamentarian is an expert in proper meeting procedures, rules, and bylaws. They assist the District Director and other leaders in conducting meetings fairly and efficiently, ensuring adherence to Toastmasters International’s policies.
Growth Opportunities: Deepens knowledge of governance and meeting protocol, enhances communication skills, and builds credibility as a procedural expert.
Club Coach Chair:Â This role is responsible for overseeing the Club Coach Program. The chair recruits, trains, and assigns experienced Toastmasters to struggling clubs to help them rebuild membership and restore quality.
Growth Opportunities:Â Offers high-level leadership and mentorship experience. It hones skills in strategic planning, program management, and motivating others
TLI Dean (Toastmasters Leadership Institute):Â The TLI Dean is responsible for planning and executing the in-person Toastmasters Leadership Institute, a key training event for club officers. This includes organizing workshops, selecting trainers, and ensuring the event provides valuable education for all attendees.
Growth Opportunities:Â Provides a platform for large-scale event management, curriculum design, team leadership, and public speaking.
Conference Chair: This individual to oversees the planning and execution of the District’s annual conference. The Conference Chair leads various sub-committees (e.g., registration, logistics, promotions) to create a successful, engaging event.
Growth Opportunities:Â Develops advanced skills in project management, budget control, strategic planning, and team coordination. It’s an opportunity to lead a large, complex event with a significant impact.
Youth Leadership Chair:Â The Youth Leadership Chair organizes and oversees the Youth Leadership Program, which introduces communication and leadership skills to young people. They work with a team of Toastmasters to mentor and guide participants through a series of meetings.
Growth Opportunities:Â Offers the chance to mentor a new generation of leaders, build curriculum design skills, and enhance public speaking abilities in a teaching context.
Speechcraft Chair:Â The Speechcraft Chair is responsible for organizing and facilitating the Speechcraft program, which is designed to help new speakers develop their skills. They work with a team to guide participants through a series of workshops.
Growth Opportunities: Provides valuable experience in mentorship, curriculum development, and leading educational programs, while also serving as a great way to recruit new members into the organization.
Corporate Club Liaison:Â This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clubs within the District. The liaison acts as a point of contact for these clubs, providing support, sharing best practices, and helping to ensure their long-term sustainability.
Growth Opportunities:Â Develops skills in relationship management, strategic communication, and B2B relations, which are highly transferable to professional settings.
Speakers Bureau:Â This is a group of qualified Toastmasters who are available to speak at events for community organizations and businesses. As a member of the Speakers Bureau, you are a representative of District 30, providing valuable presentations on a variety of topics.
Growth Opportunities:Â Provides opportunities to give speeches in external venues, build a professional speaking portfolio, and expand your network beyond Toastmasters. It’s a chance to apply and refine your skills in the real world.
